Purchase Domain here: https://www.godaddy.com/en-uk/domains
When ordering a domain, uncheck everything it tries to sell you as it's all not needed. The final price should be just the price of the domain.
Also, try and purchase either a .com or .co.uk as they are more relevant.
Next purchase hosting: https://obsidianhosting.net/student-hosting/
Choose this option: ‘I will use my existing domain and update my nameservers'
Then enter your domain name and follow the billing steps to create your account and purchase the hosting.
Make sure you enter your student email for verification. Your account website will be terminated if this isn't correct.
Go back to GoDaddy and enter these nameservers on your DNS records. (Easy to do)
In NS1 replace what’s there with ns1.obsidianhosting.net
And in NS 2 put ns2.obsidianhosting.net
And save!
Its all setup and ready however it can take some time for the domain to start working as it propagates through the internet.
You can install WordPress via the Control Panel (CPanel) for your hosting on the Softaculous installer section.
